What is it? What does it mean?

  • Use of mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) has exploded on the web in just the past few years. Every month more and more website visitors are arriving on mobile devices.
  • In order to serve those users better, Google is going to start prioritizing search results for mobile users. Sites which have a mobile friendly layout will rank higher than those that do not.
  • If your online business relies on organic search traffic*, this could impact you.
  • Starting April 21st, Google will begin rolling out their new mobile search result algorithm.
